Thank you very much for visiting omeletyellow!
We are Saki &Kunio.
We truly love spending time with friends and family, enjoying food and drinks in our home. It is delicious, precious and wonderful!
Asakusa , our beloved town, still remain lots of traditions. For example, seasonal events such as the Sanja Festival, long-established restaurants and Japanese confectionery shops, and geisha performers are still active in the town.
We are here to make your stay in Asakusa enjoyable and memorable. We would love to introduce you to Japanese culture through food!
Hello! I’m Saki,
I have been a food stylist for 20 years. I love cooking dishes that taste good and also let you enjoy the bright colours of the ingredients! My interest in colour in cooking has been largely shaped by my studies in craft in Tokyo and design in London.
The background to my work is greatly influenced by my 30 years of studying the tea ceremony, known as ‘Chado’ or ‘Chanoyu’ in Japanese. The tea ceremony can be a heartfelt communication where tea is served and enjoyed. It is also a traditional culture that represents Japanese hospitality.
Let me entertain you with Japanese home cooking and matcha tea experience to enrich your time!
Hello! I’m Kunio,
I was born and raised in Asakusa and am a true Asakusa native.I love Asakusa so much that I broadcast about Asakusa to the world every day on SNS and have been involved in planning and managing various events as a volunteer for many years.
Of all the events, I love the Sanja Festival the most and think about it all year round. I also like to eat and drink. I like to eat in Asakusa, of course, but also in many other places.
But… more than any other restaurant, I truly love Saki’s home-cooked food more than anything else. Please ask me anything about the history and culture of Asakusa, or about good restaurants!
Please feel free to join us as if you were invited to a friend’s home.We look forward to seeing you soon!
