Live like a local in Asakusa- through food, home cooking, and matcha.
Have you tried Temaki-sushi?
Temaki-Sushi, or hand-rolled sushi, is a quick, easy and fun way to make sushi at home. You spread vinegar rice on seaweed, add your favourite ingredients, roll and wrap the rice with the ingredients in the seaweed.
At our home, we use fresh seafoods, as well as stir-fried beef and vegetables. This is one of our recommended dishes, and the meat is from a specialty shop in Asakusa beloved by locals.

Afterwards, experience an authentic tea ceremony.
As a practitioner trained in the Urasenke Chado tradition over 30 years, I will prepare matcha for you, and guide you in making your own bowl. Unlike a tourist-style performance, this is a genuine moment of hospitality and tradition.

Schedule (approx. 4.5hours)
- Visit a supermarket and local food shops in Asakusa to explore seasonal ingredients.
- Learn to prepare sushi rice and other ingredients for temaki sushi.
- Enjoy a hands-on experience making and rolling your own temaki sushi with us.
