Tea ceremony is a gathering to enjoy matcha tea.
Guests will enjoy a matcha experience with table and chair style serving!
The Japanese tea ceremony is known as ‘Chanoyu’ or ‘Chado’.
In Chanoyu (tea ceremony), hosts and guests are encouraged to spend a heart-warming moment with each other over a cup of matcha tea.
In this class, you will learn about the outline of the tea ceremony, see a demonstration, drink and make matcha tea.
Tenshin and dessert are served before drinking matcha green gea.
We serve Tenshin, a very light meal, before the tea experience.
A seasonal dessert is also served before drinking matcha tea.
They fill you up a little and enhance the flavour of the matcha!
Schedule
First, visit a local confectionary shop in Asakusa to see what varieties are available! (You can also shop there).
When we get to our home, we will learn about the outline of the tea ceremony.
Then we will have tenshin, a very light meal.
After dessert, let’s enjoy a matcha tea experience.
